Can I use the Train Wright app if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
Always check with your doctor or general practitioner before starting a new training regimen or diet when pregnant or breastfeeding. As a general rule you should not be aiming to lose weight while pregnant or breastfeeding as a calorie deficit can affect development or your milk supply. Some exercises and training styles may not be suitable during or post pregnancy, and as each pregnancy is unique please check with your doctor before starting Train Wright.
Can I use the Train Wright app if I have an injury or pre-existing health condition, such as diabetes?

What goal should I choose?
You should select your in-app goal based on your own desired results: The ‘shred’ goal will provide you with a lower calorie intake to help sustainably shred body fat. The ‘Maintain’ goal will provide you with a steady supply of calories to help you improve your fitness while keeping a level bodyweight. The ‘Build’ goal is designed to provide you with a calorie-surplus which will help you to perform better, feel stronger and build muscle.
What happens if I have dietary requirements or allergies?
The app allows for filtering of meals by dietary preference or by allergies. If these do not align with your requirements, substitute the necessary ingredients on a like-for-like basis.
I want to know more about the nutrition advice
All of the nutritional data within this app is suggested and should not be taken as medical or specific advice. It has been designed by qualified nutrition coaches working alongside the Train Wright team and aligns with REPS/CIMSPA and NHS guidelines on nutrition. NHS guidelines recommend 2000 calories per day for women, and 2500 calories a day for men to maintain a healthy body weight, based on being an average weight and moderately active. Losing weight requires a calorie deficit - to say you are burning more calories than you are consuming - but this should always be done in a controlled and sustainable way through a combination of diet, exercise and lifestyle. A small, controlled calorie deficit is preferable to a large, unsustainable deficit - we do not believe in low calorie, restrictive diets. The meals within the app are varied, contain a variety of fresh foods and vegetables and are suitable for ages 16 and up. If you have any pre-existing health conditions always check with your general practitioner or doctor before starting a new diet. For more detailed information on nutrition please speak to your doctor or GP directly. For more details on nutrition please refer to the NHS website.
